The Zfleet Vision:

Zfleet will provide electric commercial vehicles with a system to monitor and manage recharging requirements to fleet operators whose vehicles have short duty cycles (typically between 80 and 150 miles per day) and return to the same location daily. Initially Zfleet is focusing on schools buses. Subsequently, Zfleet plans to expand its product range to include electric shuttle buses, delivery vans, recycling and sanitation trucks.

Electric vehicles are ideally suited for applications with a short duty cycle. Electric motors result in a 40% reduction in a vehicle's carbon footprint and create no tailpipe emissions even when the electricity is generated from coal fired plants and greater reduction when the electricity is generated from renewable resources. Zfleet's business model offers fleet operators a cost effective alternative to the current diesel vehicle offerings and in fact will result in a substantial operating savings over the life of a vehicle should fuel cost remain at current levels or rise.

Zfleet is currently looking for seed stage funding and government grants for environmentally conscious development.
